New York Liberty vs Atlanta Dream

The New York Liberty swept the Atlanta Dream in two games to win their 2024 First Round playoff series 2-0. New York took Game 1 at home 83-69, holding Atlanta below 70 points, then closed out the series in Game 2 with a 91-82 win, this time allowing Atlanta's offense to reach 82 points but still outscoring them by nine. Across both games, the Liberty's scoring output climbed from 83 to 91, while Atlanta's total rose from 69 to 82, yet New York maintained control in each contest to secure the sweep on their home floor. The series result meant Atlanta's playoff run ended in the First Round, while New York advanced by winning both games decisively. The two-game sweep reflected New York's consistency, as they never trailed in the series and closed out Atlanta in the minimum number of games possible under the First Round format for the 2024 postseason.
